I dont and never had a stock carrier, but everything i'v read about them seems to indicate a 31 is about the maximum you want with this assembly.

yea like overland stated their tubing is thin and a 31 is the biggest tire it will handle,it will most likely twist/bend gradually as the 31 is on there.

I have one on mine and it's actually very solid and a well thought out design. The entire weight of the tire is carried by the bumper in two locations, with a third reinforced location on the body to control side to side movement. I wouldn't hesitate to put a 31" tire on it and will be running a 33 or 35 inch tire on mine, after some reenforcements and modifications ofcourse!
