Default 'Stock' skids: gas tank and front end. Mounts?

For the front skid: Could I get a picture from underneath of someone's plate mounted? I want to see how they attach.

For the gas tank skid: Does the skidplate mount on the inside of the tank straps (as in the order from top to bottom: Tank, skid, strap) or the other way around (Tank, strap, skid). Also, I have a frame hitch, how much of the hitch and other hardware do I need to disonnect along the back end in order to put the skid in place?

For both: Should I use grade 8 hardware with it? If not, what grade should I use?

it goes frame, hitch, skid on older XJs. you wont be able to fit the stock skid over the plastic, so you need to support the tank, pull the straps, pull out the plastic, put the straps back on. its a lot of fun. then put the rest of the stuff on. youll need the nutstripes to put into the framerails to get bolts in there. theyll be metric so youll want 10.9 for anything that holds the hitch on. the hitch and skid share 2 or 4 bolts.

for the front, youll need 3 nuts/bolts/washers for the three front holes (theyre smallish) and 4 more for the rear mounts. theyre up next to the sway bar mounts. i dont remember the size/pitch of the bolts.

1. Pictures would be super helpful.
2. This tank came with the skid and I was in a bit of a rush to get it in before I went to work...skid is still in the garage.
3. I have the nut strips so I think I'll take one of them by the hardware store and get some grade eight stuff.
4. Pictures would be super helpful.
5. See 4
