Hi - I’ve been driving myself mad looking for answers on how to fix my stock radio for my 98 XJ. Electrically, everything else in the cabin works 100% fine, it’s just that the clock in the factory radio (the version with a cassette drive) skips whenever the car starts as if I hit the ‘Minute’ button to change the clock.

This may be out of left field but how good is your battery ?

 

Battery is basically new, no more than a month old.
