What is the stock height on a 1989 Jeep Cherokee XJ. I want to see how much lift mine has. Do i measure from the ground to fender flare or center cap to fender flare. Gonna get some tires and need to know how big I can go.

 

Center cap to bottom of fender flares. Front should be 17.5", rear, 17"...Hope that helps.

Ok I got a 2" inch lift in the front and a 3" lift in the back. So 30" tires will fit fine.
