Default still having same problems on 90, help please

Okay guys I'm still having the same problems on my 90 jeep cherokee,I'll go through it again and see if anyone has any ideas.

when accelerating hard it runs fine throught he gears, but when I reach crusing speed it pops and cackles through the thottle body and seems to have no power just hesitates very bad before taking off and running normal.

I have been trying to fiqure this out and this is what I have done so far,,,,

-replaced spark plugs, wires, rotor, and distributor cap
- changed out sensor on the side of the throttle body
- took off and cleaned the throttle body
-new fuel filter and removed a huge inline check valve the po installed
-removed and cleaned air filter
-checked over wires and anything else that might have been loose
-checked and cleaned cps

things I am suspecting that havn't been messed with yet

-timing advance??
-coil???
-timing not set correctly?

it runs fine and has no problem getting plenty of gas, this jeep does have the switch for power or comfort, I always run it on power but maybe that is/has caused a problem? getting tired of this thing and need some ideas and what to do's. please help out if you have an idea, thank you very much in advance!

Timing on RENIX isn't adjustable; and if the distributor isn't indexed properly (caused by removal and improper reinstallation,) you won't get clean acceleration.

Go to my RENIXPower group - groups.yahoo.com/group/RENIXPower - and download the "RENIX FI" manual in the "Files" section. I've had to go full moderation on the group, so make sure you tell us why you're there (or at least tell us where you've heard of us,) and either one of my assistant "ListMoms" or I will know to let you in. The manual is in .pdf format - and will tell you how to diagnose most of the RENIX system with a decent DMM.

I just hate to see people "shotgunning" parts at a problem and spending money they don't need to. And, that's what you're on your way to doing, if you don't get some guidance.

Alternatively, you may still be able to grab the RENIX FI manual at Pirates of the Rubicon - I don't know if it's still up there.
