Default Still have noise problem on my 1989 XJ

Ok I made a thread about this before people have told me different stuff and I was mostly told it was my flywheel/flexplate bolts being loose I checked all of them and there all tight. When I drive when I take a curve it will start for couple of seconds and it will also do it before the tranny "shifts" and once it shifts the noise will stop which makes me think still a transmission thing. Here is the video of the noise its the clanking metal one.

Just a couple of things come to mind.
It seems like it's running a little rough and idling low.
Check your motor mounts, and specially the trans mount to see if they're loose or bad. That combined with the above things could cause the shifter, exhaust, or something else to be hitting causing that noise. JMO

The harmonic balancer is attached to the crankshaft and the bottom pulley attaches to the balancer. With the engine off try moving the serpentine belt back and fort to see if there's any play. That happened to an Oldsmobile my dad had. When we checked it, it had about 6"s of play and when we started it sounded like a diesel until you hit the gas a little.
