Why? Walmart sells sony, sony makes some very good quality head units.

I mean they're no clarion, but they compare with kenwood/alpine/jvc/etc.

because a cheap priced Sony is what $85 - $100 bucks? im just tryin to save him money, there are good deals at walmart, and not all their brands are crap, but i have bought nice headunits off craigslist for $40 bucks. Just another/cheaper route is all.

and yes, the decks at WalMart if youre not into Audio that much, work just fine, and probably offer a better replacement warranty that half the audio stores.
