okay i have a 1987 jeep cherokee chief, & everytime i go to turn the wheel sometimes it is really hard ut once you hit the gas a little its extremely easy ???? any ideas on what it is . it would help out a lot !

 

most likley a loose belt or bad ps pump

 

Check the steering fluid, make sure it's full. Sounds like the pump, like he said^
