Default Starts-goes right to Wide open throttle

I installed a new header, cat, O2 sensors and muffler. When I started it up, the idle scream like it's at WOT but I'm not touching the pedal. Any ideas?

Your throttle cable is pinched or something.

If its not the throttle cable pull off the intake and look at the butterfly valve in the throttle body.

Throttle cables are clear- moving normal. I'll have to check the throttle plate. As soon as I start it it goes right to 4000 RPM, ist's strange.

It could possibly be a sticking IAC.

When was the last TB cleaning?

It's been a while. I tried tapping it to see if it would help but didn't help. I'll remove it and see.

Intake seated against head? This is a common problem, some headers require the intake to be ground a little.

I had a 89 XJ that would do this once in a while. I would just tap the sensor and it would stop. Tried that on this one and it didn't help.

It was teh header hitting the manifold. A little dremel work and she's running great.
