Can you replace just the solenoid or do you have to replace the starter also???
I am hoping to get some input from someone more knowledgeable than myself. I have a stock 2000 XJ 4.0L Classic....

Unfortunately, You do have to buy the starter with the solenoid. They don't sale them separately.

Well.. it was for my 90, and it was a long time ago, but I did buy a solenoid. Napa I think.

Rockauto has them under electrical switch.
