Starter grinding
hey, the other day driving my 1994 Xj 4x4 to work i discovered a bad grinding noise coming from my flywheel. After a long day i drove the jeep home and got straight to work, after taking off the cover, and taking the starter out i figured out that the flexplate is grinding on the starter. i made sure all the bolts from the tranny to the engine were tight and discovered im missing the top two bolts. could that be the problem? what kind of bolts are they? and could the grinding mean my flexplate is cracked?
