you creating a mechanical disadvantage for the drive shaft. By letting it have 2 places to slip instead of just one..

look at the picture again
look at the bottom shaft it is a slip yoke at the TC with cardon drive shaft with no slip in it

thats what I will run first
then when I'm ready to do the Hack N Tap I will swap to a front drive shaft if it will be long enough
like the top shaft in the pic

are you going to buy a cardone shaft? or add the cardone joint to your existing shaft?

i still like the Home made Hack in tap....which uses a Thunderbird Yoke and you cut about 2" off the T/C output shaft....drill it tap it and put in a allthread stud then install the Yoke. should cost around 30-40 bucks with the cost of the Drive shaft.

Why pay for a driveshaft to be modified and do the work twice? Just wondering.

I need a cardone shaft fast
so thats somthing I can do with no down time

and the hack n tap will be more time and work
the only extra cost is adding the cardon to the old shaft
