squirrel cage stuck to blower motor

Replacing the blower motor in my 89.. Its out, I have the new one, but the damn squirrel cage is stuck on the shaft of the old blower motor.. Anybody else have this problem? I dont want to break it.. What should i do? Thanks.. -Paul

Try heating up the end of the shaft on the blower moter with a hairdryer, if not then a little PB blaster.
