Fellow manual drivers,
I have a recently purchased 2wd 98 Sport that I'm shaking-out before turning over to my 17yr old son and I've noticed a wierd squealing sound from the transmission. Since tearing out the carpet (plan to replace) I've discovered a high pitched squealing and spring sound as I'm engaging the clutch.
I'm thinking something to do with the clutch springs, otherwise everything seems fine, no slippage.
Your thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks

Thanks for the quick reply Andrew. I see the slave cylinder attached to the transmission housing and taking that off appears simple enough, but my question is it all one piece/system from booster to actuator? I don't see any fluids leaking, how does it actually go bad?
