squeaky leaf springs

Default squeaky leaf springs

I put the rough country "economy" kit with the rear add a leaf springs. I cannot get the damn things to stop squeaking. Any thoughts?

Did you use alot of grease in between the leafs? Same thing happened to mine so i took them back apart and added the noise pads.

No, I didn't use grease. What are noise pads, and where can I get em'?

I pryed mine apart alittle with a big screw driver and gave em a wd40 bath.I made some squeak pads out of a milk jug,just cut some out about 3"s wide and slid them in between the leafs and then trimmed them.Worked great quite as a mouse now

^SkunkApe, Great idea just did that this morning. The smallest bottom leaves did not have any pads and turned out to be this source of multiple different kinds of squeaking. Done!
