I measured the width of my spring perches from center to center and came up with 44 inches. I had to measure them while the Dana 35 is still under my XJ so I don't know if that sounds accurate or not. Does that number sound right to anyone. I'm putting in an 9 inch and need help with measurements

Don't know measurement, but wouldn;t it be the same as the front spring mount center to center, or the shackle mounts. Could measure those to verify....

 

That's what I was thinking. So I measured the springs that were hanging from the shackles and got 43.25 inches from center of spring to center of spring. I will measure the front of the leaf springs on my lunch today. I found a site that says the spring perch width is 43.75 inches from center to center but who knows. I just don't have the time to drop my 35 just to take measurements and then put it back in. What I need is a donor axle.
