although ive read about 50 overheating problems, i cant find anything that matches mine. i dont even know if its overheating (if you know of or see something feel free to point it out)
on sunday i went wheeling with my dad. it wasnt anything really bad, but it did require 4low. it was about 45 degrees outside and i was at 12000 feet. it had no problem all the way up (a quite long and steep hill) but when i turned it around and parked it, the instant i turned it off my coolant reservoir started steaming and spitting coolant all over my engine. I filled it back up (to where i normally do) and let it sit while we went for a hike. almost at the bottom of the mountain it stalled, (might be my brothers fault, he drove for a little and it stalled on him [not very experienced in driving]) no other problems the rest of the way home, but when i drove it around town today, i got out and heard hit steaming again, opened the hood and my reservoir was totally empty.
things i checked
thanks ahead of time

things i checked
- no leaks, anywhere
- cap was closed as tight as i could get it (with out it popping back up)
- coolant was good, (correct mix and no discolor)
- hoses are good (less than a 3 months old but i check anyways, still good)
- no idiot lights (dont have gauge)
- engine doesnt feel any hotter than normal when i use it
thanks ahead of time
If I were you I would check the hoses again but play with them and try bending them. Sometimes the holes in the hose is so small that you can't tell if there is a leak in them. If you bend a radiator hose and it breaks(which means it's really old & weathered) you should get it replaced.

Was running fine till it started overheating .I took off t-stat and put new coolant and filled reservoir drove it for 10 miles but when I got home all the coolant spilled out from the reservoir and made a wooshing sound started to over heat....next day I I bought t-stat and put it on.with new coolant and changed my spark plugs changed relay to electric fan and for some reason it still overheats all the way to the red.......chcecked motor and no water has leaked thru....drained radiator...twice....I need help on this
