coil over conversion
I am dreaming of putting coil overs on the frount of my xj. I have a pair of coil overs that came from 2006 4x4 V8 Titen in my possesion left over from a 6.5 inch lift we put on wife's truck. they are exact meserment of the spings on my 4.5 inch lift on my xj. Excuse my typing a long with my poor spelling I am getting over a stroke. So have a lot of time to dream. What do you think of plan "Crazy or not"?

Are you talking coilover springs or putting leaf springs over the front axle in your XJ?? I would can any idea of putting front leafs on an XJ unless you're planning on HUGE tires and upgrading to a 1 ton or bigger axle. You will never get near the flex or the nice ride that you get from your 4 link and front coils, out of front leaf springs.

The Titans are not leaf sprung on the front, so he would most likely be talking about coil overs, especially since he states they have the same measurement as his 4.5 lift coils. I think it would be cool but may need additional bracing..?? I dont know.

No apologies necessary.. Crazy? perhaps... but there is nothing wrong with being different. I think it would be a cool idea but may required a bit of custom work. Alot of lift kits are going to coil overs. Maybe they work better maybe it is just hype..

He might just be talking about putting the stock rear leafs from his Titan on his XJ. He said he put 6.5 inch lift springs on the Titan.
