spicer vs precision super duty
I have been a long time reader on this site but this is my first time starting a thread. I am know that this has been talked about on here but I keep seeming to get different opinions.
I have a 1994 XJ on Big Island in Hawaii with OME lift. There are some very steep hills and very rough terrain. I recently took out my front drive shaft and went to Napa to replace the U-joints. I purchased their Precision brand 280 Super Duty universal joints (greasable through the end caps). They are made in the USA. After reading some forums it seems that most prefer spicer joints. I have used them in the past on my wrangler with good success. I now hear that they are not made in the US. My question is, should I stick with NAPA Precision brand 280 Super Duty (which they say are for both the CV joint and the drive shaft to pinion yoke), or should I return them and purchase spicer.
Thanks!
