Speed sensor connection gone?

Speed sensor connection gone?

So my check engine light is on because one of the speed sensors is not plugged in. Its the one foreward on the transfercase. I cannot find the wire or where it comes from. Just wondering if anyone can point me in the rite direction.

What's the actual code? The speedometer is installed on the rear of the transfer case. The sensor on the front is just a switch to detect operating range for the 4x4 indicator light. Do you mean the CPS on the bellhousing?

Its a 97 with a 4.0 and i believe its the ax-15 trans but im just going off whats told. Its not the cps the truck runs fine. Its the foreward speed sensor i dont kno wat its there for or any of that im fairly new to jeeps. Just looking to find out where the wire comes from to go into the tc. Someone told me it comes from the pcm is this correct?
