speaker issues please help!

Default speaker issues please help!

i have a new head unit and have run the wires straight out fo the back and just have them laying in the floor not installed yet and have a good ground and good connections the head unit turns on but then i play the music any louder then half volume the sound starts to cut out i can't figure it out everthing is new what is the issue?

Headunit brand/model, speaker brand model.

Are all your eq settings at 0?

does your head end run into an amp? Check for good power and ground to the amp. If thiat's OK then check for shorted speakers of speaker wires

Probably doesnt have a amp. And to the short, No, just no.

I guarantee you have a bad connection somewhere, probably in the 12 volt line or ground.

Why is it only doing it above half of the full volume than? Why not at lower volumes? Think.

If anything its a bad HU/Speaker match and clipping is taking place.
