when i put it in 4wheel drive it works great but when i go to put it back in 2wheel it stays in 4 wheel. also if i drive it for a long period of time then park it then then go to turn it back on it won't start. some help would be greatly appreciated.

 

Does it eventually come out of 4wd? What type of driving is this? Wheeling or daily driving?

What type of surface are you engaging and disengaging the 4wd.

We had starter problems on my father in laws 1970 nova. The 455 was getting the starter to hot next to the headers. Does the motor start right up after sitting a while?

 

adjust the linkage?

Had the same problem with my 4x4. Went under and adjusted the linkage to the TC. Worked like a charm after that
