Angry so i got this bug right?

and it likes to come back every so often and bite me in the butt.

every couple of months my jeep likes to "kill the battery" and send me into a fury..BUT suddenly it runs fine with no problems for months! than one day i'll just be driving along no problems at all when all of a sudden my battery will be pointing just above red mark. starts with gauges going off dimmed driving lights, after that i get hard cranking(like the battery is gonna die) than the next couple of starts it does the dead battery noise(tick tick tick tick) when trying to start. best way to explain how i went thru it dieing i suppose. the battery got charged at napa cause its not even 1yr old and i just got my alternator checked(its totally fine says my guy who rebuilds them) so im now thinking it might be a bugg or something? i just need 2nd or 3rd opinions b4 i just jump into anything.

That could be a totally unrelated short.

The suddenly dying of the car and then resatrting is synonomous (sp*) with a bad/dirty crank sensor.

Have u tested with the car off to see if there is a load on your system?

Check your grounds and connections, it sounds like you have a slow drain that every once in a while disconnects completely. Pull every fuse in the fuse box, turn your ign. off, and connect a voltmeter between the positive battery cable and terminal (disconnect your batt). Plug each one in until you get a drop in voltage. Hopefully that will give you something more to start with. You can probably rule out the radio and clock fuse, as those might use a little power to keep time.
