Default Smoke and parallel parking.

Twice now and the only two times I've parallel parked when backing up with the wheel fully turned I've had white smoke from the left side of the hood come out. Not a ton but but a small amount either. The only thing I can think is that somewhere power steering fluid is leaking onto the exhaust manifold. Anyone else encounter this? I have a non lifted 99. Never has this happen with my lifted 96

Hi

I had this happen on another car and it was the breather letting pressure and fluid out onto the exhaust.

Pump need the fluid changing as it was tried and did not do the job anymore causing the pump to over work.

Worth checking the rack gaiters aswell just incase fliud in escaping there.

Flush and refill the power steering fluid.

Im more inclined to think you have a loose or split fitting. When the wheel is turned hard either way, the pressure is highest.

Same here, small cracks in pressure hose (pump to box)
