Check the fuel pressure. Sounds like fuel delivery. Change the filter, otherwise regulator or pump.

the jeep shuts off before i can even put it into gear where it would be under more of a load also no "check engine" light so no codes are coming up with the obdII scanner.

friend of mine suggested that it might be the cam or crank sensor. sunday we spent lots of time in the woods (11am-10pm) and with all the water and mud from the rain we got in jersey so it might have messed with the wiring or come unplugged.

any thoughts on this?

thanks,

yesterday i dropped the tank dropped in a new pump. still not sure if it was a clogged filter, the pump its self or the pressure regulator but since it was all sold as one piece it just went right in. it wasnt too bad doing it by myself so anyone can do it, plus i had 3/4 of a tank full and didnt drain it out.

thanks for the help!
