Slow Speed ( parking lot ) Tire Squeal
1996 Jeep Cherokee SE
4.0 Liter HO
5 Speed Manual Trans
Milage: Unknown
Something must be amiss in the front end.
When I am at full turn lock in either direction moving into or out of a parking space I am getting loud tire squeal.
The seems to be no lurching as one might expect when in 4X4 on asphalt.
Also to be sure, there is no " out go alignment " indicators.
Cherokee tracks straight, no pulling left or right.
Tire wear looks even and quite normal.
Any ideas? Are there steering bump stops that might be worn or even missing?
What should I be looking at?
THANKS

I don't think there's anything wrong there..... Most larger cars do that at when the wheel is fully turned. In fact, I was in a slick-floored parking structure last night and it happened to me too

What have you done to verify condition of front end? How are wheel joints? When was is last aligned? Nothing bent? And x2 to the above.
You asked what to look for- things like bushings, TRE's and joints are usual suspects.
Also, your not in 4wd, right? Haha..

Old tires cause this too. Or crappy tires.
My 06 Pathfinder does it on the street or any slow turn. Gets annoying after a while but the tires are original too.
