So i'm seeing everybody buying the rustys 4.5" lift. I was under the impression that if you go higher than 3.5" you HAVE to have a slip yolk eliminator. Is everyone buying a SYE? Honestly i dont know what its for, is it necessary? What if you dont get it?

What is an SYE and When Do I Need One?
I have a RE 3.5 Superflex on my XJ, and need one though currently I'm running a TC Drop.

The issue with TC drops is it throws your linkage out of alignment and moves the bottom of your cooling fan closer to the radiator. If you have a bad motor mount or have a mount that fails you could easily punch a hole in the radiator then. I have browndog mounts on mine so I'm no so worried about a failure but SYE is the next thing on my list.
I was told an SYE was needed after 4.5 inches.. but thats the threshold.
Also, a slip yoke eliminator... eliminates the slip yoke... In a rear axle droop situation the rear drive shaft can actually pull out of the transfer case f-ing everything all up..
I figured "why not..." If I was going to 4.5.. I might as well go to 8 inches and 35s.. the cost past 4.5 becomes much more reasonable if you want bigger.. but if its a daily driver and wont see the dirt much at all.. you dont need the SYE.. just know that you have a weak spot in the system.
good luck

Also, huntingman, you're always selling stuff, do you have 2-3" budget lifts?
