This is going to sound silly probably, but I'm under the Jeep right now to grease the slip yoke for the "bowling ball clunk". I thought it was going to be near the rear wheels, but every write up mentions taking off a boot. The only boot is on the driveshaft near the front wheels. I want to verify I'm messing with the right part before I get myself in a bind.
Unfortunately, this thread exists now, creating more noise to signal ratio for people searching. If a mod wants to delete it, I'm cool with that. If not, I'm adding additional pictures to make it more useful to anyone who may come across it during a search.
The driveshaft is coming down for this project.
The front. This is where your grease is going. All over the splines and inside the driveshaft where this connects as well.
