I am wanting to protect my Jeep and have decided to invest in some skid plates. I was wondering what to get first. I am thinking the transfer case is the most important, then engine/transmission, then gas tank, etc. What do you think?
I was also wondering what brands are dependable. Warn? Skid row? What do you use?
Thanks, BDGile

I have a stock xfer case skid (I think) from an older Cherokee that came stock with it.
Mine was without one from the factory. Modded it a little to fit with my xfer case drop. It is solid 3/16 steel.
Also have rock sliders from IRO, which I think are the most important, as I have landed hard on them a few times, saving rocker damage.
Don't have engine or gas tank skids, and have never needed them, knock on wood.
