Default Simple axle Question

I pulled a front axle out of my parts jeep which is an 84 cherokee that came with the factory optional locker. What are the chances the rear axle has a factory optional locker or a limited slip?

i didnt know cherokee's had a option for a front locker,...

You probably could just get away with taking off the fill plug and look inside with a flashlight and see what you got in the rear axle.

My bad, I'm sorry for the post. Being a single dad at 23 with 2 boys at 2 and 4 I got to make things quick (I have 1 day a month where I don't have them). I got a parts jeep for free and been butchering it since. During a nap time, and on meds, I did a quick search and what I read being on meds for ear infections in both ears and a bad soar throat I miss read what I found under the jeep. What I found is the vacuum shift boot/hub or whatever in the front. I'm still confused by it, there are pros and cons and wondering if I should leave the solid dana 30 under the jeep or go with the other one? Pros I have a set of front and rear axles I can play with. reply with your thoughts, love to learn.

That's not a "locker" - that's the actuator for the CAD - Central Axle Disconnect. If you have a non-CAD axle already, keep it - the CAD can be unreliable at times, and it's extra vacuum plumbing you don't need to deal with (and extra moving parts. And extra potential for leaks. And ...)

And wait until the meds wear off before asking tech questions... BTDT!
