Default Side molding on White 1996 Cherokee XJ

OK, so until recently my moldings were perfect. Last night I get to where I was going, and the front of the passenger front door's molding was hanging half off.

So, reattach, or strip the rest of them. What do you all think?

If it helps/matters... In the future I plan on getting Bushwhacker flares to replace the stock ones currently on there.

That wouldn't affect anything man. I liked mine. But they were faded and I was missing one so I just took them off. Once you do(if you do) be prepared to scrape off all the old stuff and you'll probably have to clean it up, paint it or bedline whichever. Reattaching would be easier. Go to autozone and pick up 3m double sided tape and that'll hold it together.

Looks better with them off, especially since yours are already painted white..

That's the only thing that has me worried. While I have a buddy that owns a body shop, I just don't want to start removing all the stuff to find out it has to be painted. If I remove them, I'm not bedlining anything, so it's really a choice of clean off entirely, or just leave them on.

Maybe I'm reading that wrong (or I'm just have it in my mind that them being white actually looks good), but it almost sounds like you just told me to take them off, cause they look good being painted white.

All they really do, to me, is add some texture to the side lines of the vehicle. I do like the vehicles I see with them off, as it seems cleaner and less pasted on dodads, but I also think that even with them on mine, it looks pretty clean (or maybe because it's a white vehicle with rather great paint for having 290k miles).
