Shredded Rubber Hose Connected to Transmission?
I was replacing my O2 sensors earlier today and noticed that there is a black rubber hose w/ a silver sheathing around it that is shredded and disconnected. I'm not sure where it comes from, but it looks like it terminates to the transmission. At least that's what I think it is - it's right behind the front axle on the driver's side.
Some other hoses are zip-tied to the underbody, so someone clearly knew about this issue. I've had the jeep for 7 months with no issues other than bad gas mileage. I've tried looking through my service manual but can't find out what this hose is for. Any ideas?
