should i do wheel spacers ?
hey guys whats up i just put theses new rims and tires on and they are 30's and i have stock height but im puttin in a 2.5 budget boost next week. i dont like the stance of the wheels i want them to sit farther out and stick out past the flares more and i want to be less top heavy when i do the lift but i am worried about things such as strength, wear or rubbing because at stock height they are bnot rubbing but i fear with spacers they will rub.
please help

personaly i dont like spacers, i feel they put too much stress on the studs. also depends on the spacers desine i suppose. if you only going with the 30s and a 2.5 lift im sure you can run spacers no problem. just make sure you dont get pulled over for tires sticking out past the flares (happened to me in my camaro and it was only by like 3/4 of an inch). i also like the look of the low and wide stance. if you do any hard wheeling or plan to jump the thing id consider different offset wheels, but hey thats just my $.02. good luck with your lift

I put some 1.5" on over a year ago. They put more stress on a lot of things. I don't really care because I have a donor jeep so I'm good! But I also have aftermarket rims with shorte bs.

I use 1.5in spacers in rear but I've got a different set up than you. I run a 3in lift and 31x10.5 and tried the spacers in front also and rubbed like h*ll! Really depends on your lift, the backspacing of your wheels and tire width. Also be aware that most tire shops won't touch any vehicle with spacers installed because of liablity issues. I run the spacers because I really like my wheels, but if you can afford it don't do spacers and go with wheels with different backspacing to get the desired effect. Just my .01.
