Wow I'm glad somebody said it instead of worrying if the bushing is the right part. Christ on a cracker, OP please take pics of the sway bar brackets both and the mounts. Something for tweaked and pulled the sway bar back. Those brackets are bolted tight. That bracket is stretched.

First, thank you for all the responses. To answer one of the questions, yes, both brackets and bushings fit like a glove when I installed them. As you can see in the pictures the passenger-side bushing and bracket are good to go as is the drivers-side sway bar link. You will also notice the passenger-side sway bar link appears to be closer to the coil than the drivers-side.

everything lines up perfectly…or so it appears. Thanks again for the advice/suggestions.

My suggestion. Buy new brackets and bushings. I know sucks cause you just did the bushings. Buy both not just one side. Drop old brackets and leave disconnected. Wiggle jeep all around and make it shake. Measure from the coil bucket on each side to a similar point at the front of the jeep and see if it the same. Just wanna make sure axle didn't get tweaked. After this, install new bracket and bushings. If they line up in existing holes and axle is ok, the sway bar brackets should return to original distance from coils. After this, bring to a reputable shop for alignment. They have fun with jeep again

Thank you, that's great advice and makes total sense. I was going to just remove the sway bar but have read it's a good idea to leave it installed if it's a DD. As soon as this Nor'easter clears out I will get on it. Updates to follow...

Lol, if you want just get jks quick discos now since you got to work on them. I leave my sway bar off during the summer and come fall it comes on and off and now its on due to the winds and rain.

No. At the point I would no longer trust that LCA mount. Especially after heating it. Did she also hit a curb really hard or something? It's odd that this damage is on the drivers side but it was hit on the passenger side.
You can buy new 1/4" LCA mounts. Cut the old ones off and weld new ones on.

Yup why range said. And that also explains the messed up sway bar. The axle is tweaked. But yea those can be cut off and new ones done on back. Happy you found that

For good measure I brought it to the 4-wheel alignment shop and a after a minor adjustment everything was good.

me too, debating whether or not to go back and say WTF, be more diplomatic and hope to get a free alignment out of it and/or find another shop. New Artec mounts ordered, thanks for the link.

I do all my alignments in the driveway with a tape measure. I'm pretty confident that I do just as good of a job that way as most shops care to do. At least I care how the finished product comes out and I'll go as far as adjusting caster.
