They're fine, I'd say 90% of people who don't have full lifts have bad springs like that. Just make sure to get full leaf packs when you install your first lift.
You can replace them if you want to, but i would spend the money on more important things first.

Mind getting a better picture of the back half of the spring? From shackle to ubolts? Looks like theres a good bit of stress on the main leaf.. Is that sitting at normal ride height?

Leaf Springs
The picture didn't come up for me. My 98 had 158,000 mi when I bought it. Down 2 inches in the rear and the main leaf was flat. At 200,000 mi I haven't replaced the leaf springs yet. I replaced all the shocks soon after I bought it. Also used Monroe Sensa Tracs in the rear with the load lerveler springs. I replaced the axle snubbers in the rear. (they fell off when I touched them.) 40,000 miles later no problems and i got an inch of lift from the load levelers.

Update, June 11, 2014:
15 months later 223,000 miles (another 23k) including 4,000 mile round trip to new Mexico in October, Springs are still O.K. but soon I will replace them as the bushings are getting creaky. The load leveler shocks and the 3" snubbers bought me some time.

Your leafs definitely have the "w" look going on. When I put an aal on my 95 the leafs were bad like that so I went to the JY and found a lower mileage 00 and got the leafs from it. They were MUCH better.

replaced my leafs. Last eye bolt was rusted on so I took it to a shop....smh. They got it on but the workers lacked effort and dedication. used dorman "oem" leafs, definitely doesn't include the extra lift that I researched on Cherokee country models...
