Gears.......there is an absence of gears mentioned and is that still a D35 rear with 33s there could be a potential problem there as well. Research a little more but if the steering is the only problem then I would offer $3000 cash for it.

yeah 3 sounds like a good price. as far as the steering goes, think it would be ok on the road for awhile till I save to beef it up? like if I don't off road it untill I get a steering upgrade. also anything I should check on the lift while I'm looking it at? I'v only own'd a lifted pathfinder so I don't know to much about lifted jeeps ect

Price seems pretty steep for a 93 with 180k + miles on it. I just picked up my 1991 with 193k miles on it for $400. Granted it needs an engine, so with another $500 for a used engine, you've still only got $900.

you might want to ask for receipts or proof that he had the lift installed professionally, that could give some peace of mind that it was installed correctly.

yea yeah, but what about that steering kit, it looks alittle pricey. any ways around not buying the kit and using parts from other trucks? and will I be able to drive it on the road for now without that high kit?

the high steer kit is not necessary. it will be fine to run on or off road (within reason). i think we should do a poll and see how many people actually have a high steer kit. i bet its not as many as you might think.

Ask him to take you for a good long ride in it, both on and off road to see how it handles, if it overheats, pulls to either side, and brakes well. If he refuses, I'd walk away. If it passes, offer $2,800- no more than $3,000 like BlueXJ stated.
