will the scrap yards take it if you cut it up? I kno in Rhode island u don't need a title if the car is like 10 yrs old, all u need is the old registration from the old owner and bill of sale. Is there any way to track down the original owner.
but ether way some one will take it after it is gutted, just got to figure out who in your area will. look in the small local papers for ppl who junk cars.

Hey! Where in northern MN will they take this after its been completely gutted out? without the title? I am in Duluth and would definitly be interested in this! its the only thing holding me back from getting it! im worried once its all parted out and done with that i wont be able to get rid of the "tub" and it will sit in the yard forever. Your help would be great man!! And if i get it you got dibs on the drivetrain!!

no but you would be questioned about where you got it no doubt. I'm just looking out for your best interest- go by your gut instincts.
Chances are the truck is just wrecked and no one wants to mess with it other than selling it cheap and cutting their losses. If he wont supply the vin number to you though I think you should not even go look at it. He should have nothing to hide when selling this with no title. If he is hiding something forget it, its bad news.

It is only worth what some one is willing to give for it I sold an 86 xj to a scrap yard and got $475 for it when the market was good and I HAD to have a title if you are unsure of the purchase I would wait the guy out a week or two and offer him 400 for it since most scrap yards if any will take a vehical w/o a title and he would be lucky if he is will get 300 for it at a scrap yard.
