Which shocks?
Okay I have decided that the rancho shocks on my 3" skyjacker set up now probably won't be enough when I put on my new RE 5.5" LA kit, even with a set of BPE's. I don't want to run the OME's because they won't be long enough from what I have seen. I don't want to spend a $#!t load of money on shocks either. I have it narrowed down to either the RE twin's because of the price. Maybe the RE Mono's because hey what is $100 dollars anymore? (close to a tank of gas!) Or maybe the Bilstien 5100's or 5150's. Can you guys give me a hand in making my decision?

bilsteins would be a good descision, the monotubes from what ive heard are by no means soft, 95% of all shocks for offroad applications will not be. But i heard theyre softer than OME, so that rules OME out. I will say the twintubes are good offroad, but on road they suck, they dont hide any bumps at all you feel everything. Id go for monotubes or bilsteins

for the rear you can always raise your shock mounts and could get away with running a shorter shock. less crap hanging under the axle to get hung up too, save money and have a more capable vehicle.

I would raise your rear shock mounts, doing that kills two birds with one stone. I would also run bilsteins 5150's all the way around, they are great long lasting shocks.

Have to go crawl under it to see if they have a discernable number b/c I don't remember. Newest set is over two years old. I have CRS too!
EDIT:Looks like the number says 9500! Is that a good number?

What do you use your rig for? Mine (right now) is a trail rig only, and I had monotubes on it for 3 months before I ruined them. They rode great, but I couldn't tell the off-road difference between them and the cheap-o $30 Rusty's shocks I have now.
What I'm getting at, is a shock is a shock. I would rather bend/break a cheap shock, than an expensive one.
