Default To shim or not to shim.......my flywheel

About 2 months ago I replaced the clutch disc, pressure plate, hyd release bearing assembly (twice), and the clutch master cylinder (twice, first one was plastic and it broke on install), bled just under a quart of DOT 3 through the system to get my pedal to come up and had the flywheel machined. Later research showed I should not of had the flywheel done. Well, I have a new flywheel on hand and will be pulling my trans for the 3rd time in an attempt to get my clutch to work. Looking at the new flywheel, the old one had a bit of material removed. My issue is with the pedal pressed to the floor, the pressure plate is not fully disengaging the disc. Now I have high hopes that installing the new slightly thicker flywheel that my problems will be solved but Im wondering if I should throw in a .025 or a .050 shim between the flywheel and crank flange just for good measure to push the flywheel/ pressure plate closer to the release bearing? Any thoughts? Ive done a few hyd clutches in my time but never have I had this problem.

No. It should work just fine like it has worked for the last 21 years.

Put it all back together with all stock parts.

Sounds like you should have done a external slave swap.

Well, considering it is all put back together with stock new parts and still does not work, Im looking for options. I have given the external slave thought but I just dont have the time to get to a salvage yard to pull the parts. If swapping the flywheel dont work, I guess Ill just scrap the damn thing...........I got the Jeep for free so all I can do is make money if I let it go. See what happens I guess.
