Weld it, I broke mine and tried to get a replacement and couldn't. I could get the seal but not the manual shift valve shaft up here in Canada. I ended up getting a transmission from the JY with half the miles on it and put that in. I was dropping the old transmission to replace the flex plate any how.

Yeah I was removing engine. Engines out now but that's broke. How do u go about getting this thing out of there

I don't have access to my service manual from this computer, but you pretty much have to drop the pan and valve body to get to the shift shaft if I remember right. I will look into it when I get to my other computer tomorrow, or you could got to Morris 4X4s online manual the manual shift valve shaft starts on page 262 of the pdf.
