Default she's running cool!

I just wanted to post how great the info is on this forum. Bought my "93 and noticed a low speed overheat, she has 196K and runs and shifts great other than the overheat. my goal was to lurk around and read all the threads on overheating, and see if i could get the info and not have to post about a problem that has been covered numerous times. Well, EUREKA! just finished putting the last of the bolts in and she has a new waterpump(did not need one, more for my peace of mind), new t stat, new fan clutch, power flushed the radiator and heater core(used CLR and it got ALOT of crap out), fresh 50/50, fired her up and the needle stayed between 195-200 and never went higher after 30 mins of idling with the hood closed and 92 ambient temp! It would have been alot more difficult without having the knowledge from the threads, Thanks Cherokee forum! Now i'm ready to tackle the issue of no a/c,heat blower, gonna start checking fuses and relays.......if its the control panel, how big of an ordeal to remove dash panels to access a/c control?

the ac switch panel is easy with a couple screws, blower motor resistor is right under dash and can get to it with glovebox off , but not sure about the blower motor

Glad u got 'er done and running cool. FWIW, at the CLR web site it says "do not use in an automotive cooling system". Might want to do another cooling system flush in the near future just to be on the safe side.
