Default Shackle problem

I got a 99 Sport stock suspension and I've been noticing that there is a strange noise coming from the rear when i hit bumps, i inspected it today i found that the Leaf spring shackle is loose its pivoting on the uni body, only one side though what could cause this and how would i fix it?

any advise would be greatly appreciated!

Should the shackle be resting all the way to the rear of the vehicle when it is parked? My problem right now is that is is resting all the way to the rear so when i hit a large bump it drops then bangs against the unibody when weight lands back on the leaf.

Can you post a pic? Of the shackle and your leaf springs.

Sounds like your springs are toast and messing up your shackle angle. I would check the springs up by the eyes, it could be cracked.
