So its been raining all day today and I just went out to move my jeep and when I turned it on I noticed that the battery gauge was at zero for a couple seconds, then I heard a squeak and it came back up to regular. So I guess my serpentine belt was slipping on the alternator pulley, is this a bad thing? I checked the belt and its in perfect condition. Thanks
The belt on mine has to be stupid tight not to slip. I have never had to tighten a belt so tight on any other car. I use a gates belt, and put on a new tentioner (thought maybe bad bearings). I checked all the accessories spin free. The belt still has to be really tight.
