Serpentine belt replacement?
I am needing to replace the belt in my 2000 xj. Wanted to get a gatorback but having a hard time finding one... anyone have suggestions of what would be the best belt to get?

CONTINENTAL 4060950 is the same as goodyear gatorback, "Goodyear Engineered Products are now branded Continental Elite"
Goodyear gatorback is now called continental elite :
https://www.amazon.com/Continental-4.../dp/B000C30J3I
http://www.rockauto.com/en/parts/con...0950,belt,8900
Personally I am running a gates belt for a few years now and am really happy with it

x3 (continental elite) cheapest was rockauto for me when I bought one a couple months ago.
The belt tension tool is a good idea, but I've personally always just gone with a quarter turn or half inch of deflection.

Just redid my cooling system so I also replaced the belt and idler pulley. Went with this belt.

Adjusted it by letting the vehicle run for a bit. Turned on the A/C and punched the throttle. If the belt squealed I'd tighten the belt a little. And try it again. Kept at it until I had no slipping. Forgot to say that that this is the first time I've used this brand belt. Seems to have taken less adjusting than the previous brand I've used on all my vehicles.
