So my security system in my 92 Laredo xj is causing issues making it unreliable for dd. it's randomly going off, doing its job as a security system if it was being broken in to but it's doing it every time I try to drive it. Then I have to disconnect the battery for a while to reset it. But now its to where it's going off while driving and shutting off the fuel pump. Have been told that the only real way to fix it is to rewire it with a harness from another xj or re do all the locking system new keys overhead console and key fob. I'm getting frustrated and wondering if I should just junk it and buy a newer xj or if I should make it a not dd rig or sell it. She has me so frustrated I've been driving my gtp lol. Does anyone kno how to get rid of the security system or disconnect it???

I hadn't read that piticular article but I did unhook all of the boxes and stuff. The part about unhooking the box by the console I did while it was going off and it kept going off even after disco the battery.

 

And reconnecting it
