OP. Maybe someone messed with lines that have something to do with one of those mileage estimator things. Don't know if they use vacuum, figure if they DID, higher vacuum would make it read higher. Maybe if it somehow used venture vacuum and got hooked to manifold vac it could read high.

Sort of... not sure about that particular item, but the whole hydrogen thing does work to some degree, usually not the gains claimed on that site though.

I believe you can save about 2 mpg if you swap your 33" tires for some of those "low rolling resistance" ones which come on the Toyota Prius. You may need to get some lug bolt adapters from JC Whitney to get the wheels to mount though.

No, it takes energy to break the water into oxygen and hydrogen, so the energy gained from burning the hydrogen is offset by the power required to create it.

Except the energy required to break it down isnt provided by the engine. So it wont cancel itself out.

You guys got it all wrong. Its all about resistance in the engine, oil, water all slows down the internal parts and leads to parasitic drag. The answer?

Nothing!

Drain all fluid and see the difference. I promise it will get you 50MPG.

From the battery of course!

But the battery gets it's energy from the alternator.
But the alternators gets its energy from the engine.
The engine gets it from the fuel --

WOW PERPETUAL MOTION!

Internet logic!

Default water 4 gas

The hydrogen thing is attractive on the surface and maybe it works on the more expensive grander scale kits that put out much MUCH more hydrogen. But the small diy kits do absolutely nothing to increase mileage, power, smooth idle or make any perceptable difference in the running of the vehicle. I tried it on two vehicles, a 97 ranger 23 mpg and my 92 jeep xj sport 18.5 mpg. I was looking to get up to 25 on the ranger and just over 20 in the jeep but never realized any gain during my daily 33 mile commute to work and back for about a year. From experience it does not work, Its like national treasure one thing leads to another if its not working you need a map sensor adjuster, then a pulswidth modulator, anti backflash suppressor, bubblers and all manner of other gadgets none of which are engineered or manufactured for automotive use or the environment under the hood of a vehicle. I fall into the experimenter catagory so I can justify the less than $60 expenditure as a science project that proved the hypothesis that it produces hydrogen but fails to make any measurable difference in the running of a vehicle.

Default Kids will be Kids!

A new guy writes in with questions that, to him, are real. Not only do the kids on the block here make sure he will never ask another question here, BUT they also offer some sage advise that will destroy his Jeep if he pays attention to these *****! Nice "brotherly" site! Good job kids.

Just find your friend with a YZ250 mx bike and get the purple powerband off it.
Add it to your XJ and its like adding a SuperCharger, +200 HP, and it actually brings the
MPG up to around 34 mpg.

You know its true.

Just be careful with the extra power.....
This poor fellow tried it and you see what happened to him.
