Don't mind them... There is no secret to gain 15 to 20 MPG. No chip, tuner, trick or treat will result in substantial gains in economy. The best tricks have been discussed many times before and using all of them can net a substantial gain of 5 or more MPG. Things like air pressure in tires, changing driving habits, getting rid of weight, etc.

Typical economy for our Cherokees can range from 13 to 20 MPG. Some can exceed 20 and some can't get near 13 but they are the exception not the rule. If the man that spoke to your cousin really is getting 30 MPG from a Jeep I guarantee it isn't just from a vacuum line.

Put it on a trailer. Go twice the distance for half the gas.

It's possible!

If you order everything from JC Whitney that promises better mileage, - You'll get such good mileage that you'll have to stop and drain the tank every 100 miles!

Also if you connect a vacuum line to your 231 transfer case, it changes the shift pattern. You will then have a Full Time mode like a 242 case.
