Hello I have a 1991 xj 2dr. I'm headed out to the junkyard tomorrow with some coworkers and was wondering if someone knew the dimentions of the stock seat, or something that would work with some modification. I have a good pair of stock seat rails and I'm not afraid to weld or drill new holes, just looking for a nicer pair of front seats. Not too concerned with the seats ability to fold forward for the back passengers either, as I don't have more than one other person riding with me at a time haha. Thanks

 

I hear mustang seats work well.

 

My other car is actually a 1989 5.0 mustang.. Too bad the nice seats I have in there now have the pony logo (02 swap) and the original ones are now permanent garage seats due to the abuse they receive being among the garage seats lol

 

I slapped in some Acura CL leather buckets... took a fair amount of fabrication but they fit perfectly...

 

What year Acura CL seats did you use?

 

2001, i believe... they also give the rear passengers more leg room.. and they are heated, but i didn't even try to wire that up... and they were electric tilt but i ditched all that for the XJ sliders... I got em for 50 bucks at the junk yard so.. thats why I used them and if you look up 2001 acura cl, the interior dimensions are similar to the cherokee.

 

Thanks, wife hates seats in my 2001 cherokee (all stock) I guess I could leave her at home. Just a thought.
