What are some covers that fit real good, and are strong enough for a 35 pound dogs paws climbin around on them. Non removable headrest.
A few years back I bought some CoverKing Rhinohide's for my '00 XJ.
I have removable headrests but guessing they make one for one piece buckets too.
They look really durable, some kind of PVC, but no idea how they would hold up with a dog.
They fit great.
There is one thing. I swapped from one piece buckets to removable headrest ones.
They were in so so shape, hence the seat covers, but had them out of the Jeep and had the back separated
from the bottom cleaning them up best I could. Point being I think I was able to get them on that much better cause
they were not in the Jeep.
Also they are pricey. I had paid $320 front and back. That was with them on sale and using a promo code.
Not sorry one bit that I spent the money though.
Damn those look really nice, especially with the tan interior and black dash, and black paint. That's not leather...?... looks really good and fit great!!! Do they smell like PVC or vinyl? I'm just having flashbacks of riding the school bus when I was young and how buses always smelled with those plastic seats.... hahahahahaha
I want some seat cover too... I usually go with cheapo's, like mossy Oak Camo or Ducks Unlimited or something for about $30 a pop. But I feel like I want something that fits tighter/better, cleans easy, holds up to kid spills and maybe stains, and wont wear out in 3 years. Maybe Neoprene or something.......
They had smell, not nauseous, and still might but I am just use to it now and don't notice.
They are not leather. In the description they are described as:
Rhinohide is a synthetic, non-animal based material made from a thick polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and designed to simulate the look and feel of leather.
I like them and had been eyeballing them for awhile hemming and hawing if I should buy them before I did.
I really hate trying to buy stuff like this. Too many brands and then the choices for each brand.
It gives me a headache trying to decide. Cause of course I have to overthink everything.
They normally run about $250 for each row.
During the holiday season a few years ago they were $200 and I was able to use a 20% off promo code on top of that.
So my procrastination did pay off.
If you shop around might be able to find them for $200 a row.
Yeap I believe you and I discussed the wishey washy back and forth parts of our personalities before hahahaha. I like to have something in may hand and see it, smell it, feel it, rub it, caress it... oh sorry that got weird... so yeah seat covers would be a difficult choice to make especially if I dont like whatever I buy and they want to me to pay the return shipping.

ive seen your post on these before but I don’t see my dogs toe nails being good on them.

yeah you got a little R rated there for a second lmao.
I wouldn't say quite R rated, but maybe more on the creeper spectrum hahahahahahaaha.
I was debating Carhart seat covers, or something made of the same material so they last for 392 years. But they aren't the most comfortable as far as feel. I have a couple Carhart jackets in different thicknesses and insulated and non insulated bibs, but I don't feel that material on my skin. They're lined with something else. So sitting on the "duck" material may not be the most comfortable for my wife or 2 little girls when they're wearing shorts or a bathing suit or something... I don't know. Maybe it wouldn't be too bad. I still feel like neoprene would be good and soft, but it can also chafe if you move around on it too much. Being an avid scuba diver back in the day (when I didn't live in a land locked state by the mountains) I know this.... But it may not be bad as seat covers... I like my cloth because it doesn't get super hot, even without tinted windows... If I got neoprene, I know it will get hot, even if I got light gray to match the interior. Once I get the windows tinted it probably wont be that bad.
Ralph, do your seats get hot? Especially in black...?? It looks like you lack the privacy glass on the big windows...
What part of the country are you in? Denver gets surprisingly hot in the summer. In the 90's with blazing sun light....
I am in New England.
But have spent plenty of time out your way.
2 years at DU and then numerous trips out west to ski. LOL.
O'Lingers cross still in the mountains?
Yeah they do get warm like real leather tends too.
Also cold in the winter. But I have heated seats in my Jeep.
Which actually means it takes a little longer, not much though IMO, to heat up.
But I use one of those windshield sun screen things so that helps.
And just so you know to the best of my knowledge front doors do not have Privacy Glass in them from the factory.
If you see some front windows tinted it is aftermarket.
All in all I am very happy with them.
The Carhart seat covers popped in my mind too.
If they are anything like their jackets, I own a couple myself, might be a good choice when you have a dog.

I got Rough Country ones off Amazon, think it was under $200 for the whole set. My dog is about 30 lbs and doesn't phase them one bit. They don't smell funny, they are super comfy, look and fit excellent. I don't have a pic on hand, but I will post some later on.

Same here, I really like them. About $167 for the set. They are really thick, neoprene style. Haven't had my dogs in on them yet, but wouldn't be afraid to at all.
Good info. I'll probably skip the vinyl/pvc option then even if I do get tinted. I get schwetty and swampy enough as it is hahaha.... I wonder if there is a homemade air conditioned seat mod.... !!!!!! Someone needs to research and do that if not!!!!!!!!!
What's this O'lingers Cross you speak of? Is it the big Cross on the side of the mountain you can see from far off? I don't recall seeing it lately, but maybe I'm not looking. I live in Littleton so maybe I just cant see it from down here.....
Is it called Mt. Lindo cross?

When I first got to DU I had to live in the dorm for the semester, it was like a rule, and you could see this big cross with white lights in the Rockies.
It was the '70's.
So I asked one of the locals what's with the cross?
And they replied it was O'Lingers cross.
Apparently O'Lingers was a big *** mortuary/funereal home business.
They seemed like they were everywhere.
The running joke apparently was "O'Linger on you son of a *****".
Yeah its a mortuary place I saw on google....
I have a nearly 70lb German Shepard, but she wouldn't be on the seats. She goes in the cargo area. For one, she is spastic and is crazy in the car and wouldn't be minding her own business if she was just in the back seat. She would be constantly getting up on the console to put her head between me and my wife hahahaha. 2, I would rather clean dog hair off the weather tech mat in the back than have to pick hair out by hand from the seat covers hahahaha.... 3, I would have 2 car seats in the back if it was a family outing to the mountains. Which reminds me, I need to get on a DIY roof rack...

Would you like a moment or two alone? A room perhaps? LOL
