Rustys suspension lift

Look below the carpet on the floor boards, look on the rocker panels, and look on the underbody of the jeep.

ok sounds good you know i went and looked at a 96 blazer 4dr and was driving it and realized no 4 wheel drive and plus it just wasnt a jeep. ever since my mom got a liberty ive been hooked lol
If your only experience is with a libby then you will like what a XJ brings for you.
I just did a 3" Superlift on my 99 XJ. I'd never done a lift before in my life and it took 3 of us to get it done in 5 hours taking our time. We didn't have to remove the spring pack from the shackles though, so that saved a bit of time. We did break shock mounting bolts at the top, so that took a bit more time to weld in new bolts, but oh well
.
I'm running 32x10.5 TSL Swampers and had to do a bit of front bumper trimming and a bit of rear fender bashing to clear them. I took my rear sway bar off though so it only rubbed when I would flex the wheel.
As for Rusty's lifts, I have no idea. No one around here has one(I'm Canadian, it's interesting ordering a lift from the US), so I don't know how they are..

Before you do the install PB blast every bolt you intend to take off. As for the engines I have seen alot of guys running w/ 200k +. I learned to drive on an 89 and my Dad got rid of it w/ 286k. Hope this helps.

How long do cherokee motors last... With a little care...A LONG time...
I have one 4.0l with 261,000 miles on it, I have another with 175k on it. I had one that had 242k on it, and one that had 159k when the speedometer quit....
I have had a Rusty's lift in the past. It was cheap and it showed...
I have a Rubicon Express lift on this Jeep. Yes, it is quite a bit more expensive...and it shows... the quality of the parts its huge, the completness of the lift out of the box made a huge difference...
Read the thread here about the RC lifts... I had absolutely NONE of those problems with my RE lift. Everything went together exactly right, no not-quite-right brackets, no missing bolts, no pieces that I needed that were extra money, nothing but a good operating, good riding, quality lift....

Well im glad they last a long time and i'll be sure to look at those areas when inspecting. I will look into the RE lift a little more its only about $100 more but from what i have heard it is worth it. thanks

I have a RE 3.5 kit and I used BDS shocks. I called them told them which lift and what year and they sent me my shocks. They have worked just great.
